A. Each adult must fill out an application and undergo a credit check, even if his/her name will not be on the lease.
A. Check with management and get written approval before making any changes. Even simple things, such as changing the paint color will require extra work when you move out and may reduce the amount of your security deposit.
A. Before moving in, you will walk through the unit with the manager going over a checklist to confirm its condition, make sure everything is in working order and document, usually with digital pictures, any existing damage. You both will sign the list. After you move, that same checklist will be used to verify the condition of the unit after you’ve gone.
A. By law, the landlord must return your full deposit within 21 days of your moving out or send you an itemized list of expenses that part or all of your deposit covered.
